Our Philosophy

We approach new work with the same conviction: that architecture should respond to its setting, endure through honest construction, and serve the people who live within it.

WE Understand What Already Exists

We walk different streets at different hours, observing how residents move through the space.

We study the canopy, which trees define the streetscape, how light falls through them at different times of day, how they change through seasons.

We photograph existing buildings from multiple angles and understand why they work in their context.

We document the material language of the place: the render, the brick, the timber joinery, the stone details that already exist there.

We measure the rhythm. We map the views. We understand the orientation and how the sun moves. We listen to what residents value about the neighbourhood.

We speak with community members about their concerns and what the area needs.

Heritage. Context.
Enduring Places.

From sandstone façades in to masonry townhouses in Melbourne, the expression is consistent:

Enduring materials. Disciplined capital deployment. Places that improve with time.
